Maintenance Technicians at our Newton, MS foundry are responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of welding robots, mag machines, grinders, air cranes, and welders; will also assist with other major repair jobs as needed, and order maintenance parts for the Finishing department.
The successful candidate will have working knowledge in electrical, mechanical, mobile, fabrication, and pneumatics/hydraulics fields.
Job Duties:
Punctual attendance - must be on time
Follow all the establish safety procedures
Participate in problem solving events
Perform at least two OBS (Observation Based Safety) activities each month
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required
Mechanical maintenance experience required; electrical, fab, welding, and/or robotic repair training preferred
Must be able to work on multiple types of mechanical equipment
Requires ability to obtain a Class B unrestricted drivers' license
Other Skills & Abilities:
Good reading, writing, and verbal skills
Knowledge of all tool types
Work environment includes indoors/outdoors (all weather types), extreme hot and cold, noise 90+, possible air contaminants, possible chemical hazards, work at different altitudes, and possible physical hazards
Physical demands include lifting up to 100 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching and pulling tarps, and stooping
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
