Lean and CI Manager - Newton

Job Duties: Provide leadership and direction for the Lean and Continuous Improvement team and activities within the site Support Site Manager, Technical Leaders, and Manufacturing Managers through coaching and disciplined problem solving to develop a sustainable organizational capability in continuous improvement Provide hands-on training and coaching, as well as develop local coaches, in Lean tools and concepts including, but not limited to, VSM, standardized Work, PDCA/A3 problem solving, Kaizen event leadership and rapid cycle improvement, process analysis, process management, 6S, Lean office, Lean leadership, etc. Initiate and drive best practices within the site; work across functions creating standardized processes, systems, and training materials Develop site CI plans; manage the plan execution to achieve the strategic objectives Facilitate site events and coach site event leaders in support of business strategies and activities Plan and execute Weir Production System assessments at the site to identify gaps in standards and drive continuous improvement. Adopt and promote Weir's SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) standards and culture Propose and coordinate layout changes and time studies Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferably in Operations Management or Engineering; MBA is a plus Eight years' experience working in a Lean deployment role in a manufacturing-based operation Experience managing and leading Lean and CI teams Advanced knowledge of core manufacturing concepts related to capacity, lead time, inventories, etc. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Lean principles and manufacturing tools, and success implementing continuous improvement projects Able to train and educate peers, staff, operators, and site management in Lean methodologies and the Continuous Improvement culture, including planning and facilitating Kaizen events Data-based analysis and problem-solving skills Proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Willing and able to travel up to 10% domestically and 5% international if needed Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States Other: Six Sigma Black Belt preferred Work Environment: Includes office and manufacturing/shop floor environments Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30 lbs., climb ladders, and work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
