WE BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER OF COMFORTJob Description SummaryProvide support to Production, Continuous Improvement and other functions as needed in the form of audits, measurement of parts, inspections, performing gage studies, process capability studies and related activities.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESoAudit specifications to ensure product requirements are met.
oAuditors must form a partnership with team members and trainers to ensure specification compliance.
oReview the product to ensure appearance specifications are maintained as detailed by the upholstery, sub-upholstery, cutting, sewing, and general tailoring standards.
oCheck the shipping label to ensure all options, as specified, are present.
oSupport cell coaches in the development of corrective action of process measures.
oConduct PIA assessments for cell teams.
oAssist to facilitate any engineering changes in specific style construction.
oRecord and distribute assessment findings.
oIdentify needs within the work team to include additional training, jig fixturing, jig repairs, or general maintenance issues.
oPresent information to various groups on occasion (Quality meetings, etc.
)oFollows health and safety standards.
oMaintains a clean workstation and production floor.
oPerforms other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
oEquivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
oExcellent attendance - must maintain less than 2 attendance points oTwo years of experience in validation processes, upholstery or equivalent experience.
oCertification to CQAP level one competence.
oColor vision.
oBasic computer skills - Beginner level proficiency with Excel data entry, table construction, basic formula entry, graphing - Ability to access drawings, specifications and all required information and documentation shop floor - Ability to enter data into Access and generate reports.
oBasic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios.
Basic algebra preferred.
oStrong leadership traits must be evident with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
oPrint reading skills - ability to interpret various graphs and other statistical data - understand histograms, run charts - Statistics including Min, Mean, Max, Standard Deviation.
oData analysis skills (collecting and reporting).
oMust understand how to utilize various measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, etc.
