Weir ESCO's Melting Manager at the Newton, MS foundry leads a team responsible for melting, refractory and pouring operations to assure the required quantity and quality of metals are produced to support production that meet customer commitments. Will collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize melting processes and manufacturability of raw product. Responsibilities:
Lead safety as a core value in the Melting Department ensuring the prevention of injuries while maintaining business resultsMaintain and manage department assets, equipment and suppliesAssure a 95% on-time credible delivery is maintained monthly -Implement cost reduction measures, which will support department, plant and corporate goals and commitments. Assure department financial performance supports plant budgets.Assure individual and department performance supports quality and customer commitments.Establish and maintain effective communications with site management, peers and external stakeholders Manage multiple projects in a timely manner while insuring safety, cost effectiveness and proper resource allocationManage vendors and contractors hired to support melting operationsDevelop direct reports and build technical skills appropriate to the functional responsibilities and expectations of succession planning initiatives.Build organizational capability in the application of lean tools specifically 6S, Process Management, TPMs, standardized work, and rapid cycle improvementsJob Knowledge, Education and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management or Business (or combination of equivalent education and experience). Knowledge and experience in Metallurgy Sciences highly desiredSeven
years experience in melting/metallurgy related operations, heavy equipment manufacturing or Foundry OperationsTwo

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
